Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa Unveils $32 Million Renovation

A Coastal Transformation Elevating Luxury and Hospitality

Marking its 40th anniversary, the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa has completed a $32 million renovation, redefining oceanfront luxury with refreshed accommodations, reimagined dining, and enhanced event spaces. Nestled on South Florida’s largest private beach, the resort’s transformation brings a contemporary aesthetic while embracing coastal serenity and elevated design.

A Design Refresh Inspired by the Oceanfront Locale

Designed by California-based hospitality firm CRA Design, the renovations introduce a sophisticated, nature-infused aesthetic, blending sandy neutrals, marine blues, and sun-kissed champagne tones.

  • 650 guest rooms and 31 suites now feature custom mural accent walls, evoking Fort Lauderdale’s iconic sunrises.

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies offer panoramic ocean views.

  • Luxury furnishings incorporate woven fabrics, warm woods, and modern artwork mimicking water movement.

“Our goal was to enhance the guest experience with a seamless blend of tranquility and understated sophistication.”

  • The Grand Ballroom (15,000 sq. ft.) and Caribbean Ballroom (8,000 sq. ft.) feature bronze and textured glass chandeliers reflecting ocean movement.

  • Pre-function areas now showcase lush landscape-inspired wall coverings, paying homage to the region’s palm trees, cypress, and mangroves.
