Ladybird Expands to West Midtown: A New Chapter in Atlanta’s Star Metals District
Atlanta’s thriving Star Metals District is set to welcome a familiar yet fresh addition as Ladybird, one of the city’s most beloved dining destinations, expands with a second location in West Midtown. The move will transform a nearly one-acre warehouse and parking site into an adaptive reuse food and beverage hub, enhancing the district’s vibrant, urban energy.
A Perfect Fit for Star Metals
Ladybird, which first gained acclaim along the Eastside BeltLine, will now bring its signature laid-back atmosphere to West Midtown, directly in front of Stella at Star Metals, a 21-story residential tower set to open in June 2025.
“We have wanted to bring Ladybird to West Midtown for the longest time, but knew everything would have to be perfect in order for us to emulate what makes the original location so special. We've been fortunate to get to know the neighborhood more closely through the Electric Room at Star Metals and believe in the long-term vision for the Star Metals District. When Spencer Morris reached out about this opportunity, we immediately knew this was the proverbial ‘one’ we had been looking for all along.”
Michael Lennox, Electric Hospitality CEO and Founder
A Transformative Addition to Star Metals District
The $1.5 billion Star Metals District, a mixed-use development spanning ten acres, has redefined urban renewal in Atlanta. The project seamlessly integrates residential, office, retail, and green spaces, creating a walkable, high-design community.
“The introduction of Ladybird’s new location will further amplify the sense of community, bringing an additional layer of vibrancy and greenspace directly to West Midtown. We’ve envisioned the Star Metals District as an experiential community, a place where the old and new converge to create an exciting urban space.”
Spencer Morris, President of The Allen Morris Company
The Evolution of Star Metals District
Ladybird’s arrival is part of an ongoing transformation within Star Metals District, which includes:
Sentral at Star Metals, featuring 409 residential units.
Star Metals Offices, boasting over 270,000 square feet of office space, now 91% leased.
Stella at Star Metals, with 327 ultra-luxury rental residences, set to open in June 2025.
Over 100,000 square feet of ground-level retail, further enhancing the district’s walkable, interconnected appeal.
Designed as a multi-phase development, Star Metals District will continue evolving with additional residential towers, restaurants, retail spaces, and public parks. Phases four, five, and six are already in development, following the construction of Stella at Star Metals.
