Where Can Customize a Lot of Christmas Pajamas? Turn Holiday Cheer into Your First Real Paycheck

Where Can Customize a Lot of Christmas Pajamas? Turn Holiday Cheer into Your First Real Paycheck

Every October, many brands and friends of the party organizers in North America and Europe ask me this question: "Where can I customize a large number of Christmas pajamas?" As someone who has worked in the clothing industry for 15 years. I have customized Christmas sets for clients ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Where can we customize a large number of Christmas pajamas? Let me share with you!

Why Do More and More People Choose to Order Christmas Pajamas in Bulk?

All the friends engaged in the clothing industry know that, in recent years, the demand for custom Christmas pajamas has been growing year by year. I remember when I first started working in 2010, Most of my customers ordered basic red checkered Christmas pajamas.

But now it's different. Last week, my British friend Lisa sent me a message saying that her community was going to take a "Christmas family photo." Thirty-one families in their community want to wear the same reindeer pajamas. She asked me to help find a factory to make Christmas pajamas. This type of business has accounted for 30% of my business volume over the past two years.

Why Do People Love Custom Christmas Pajamas?

Because we all love Christmas! That sounds pretty boring. But when you scroll through Instagram or TikTok. You will see a family dressed in custom Christmas pajamas gathered around the fireplac, unwrapping gifts. You will see your favorite celebrities dancing in Christmas pajamas. It looks like a lot of fun.

Last year, I made 200 sets of "snowman in a coffee cup" pajamas for a Los Angeles coffee shop. I took a video of their employees dancing and uploaded it to TikTok. My video got five times more likes than usual! Some friends asked me where to order Christmas pajamas.

Why Custom Christmas Pajamas Are Worth Investing in for Clothing Brands?

I have analyzed the product of Christmas pajamas from the perspective of profit. I found that the profit of ordinary Christmas pajamas is very low. Custom-made Christmas pajamas are highly profitable. Consumers are willing to pay an extra 20-30% for custom-made clothes.

My classmate is a designer in New York. Last year, she shared on Instagram how she earned a quarter's rent by customizing Christmas pajamas. She told me that if customers specify the use of environmentally friendly materials such as organic cotton to customize their Christmas pajamas, the profit will be higher.

Who Would Buy Custom-Made Christmas Pajamas?

I have received many orders for custom Christmas pajamas. Companies often ask me to make a batch of Christmas pajamas as Christmas gifts for their employees. Some travel agencies give Christmas souvenirs to their customers. My son's school organizes Christmas activities and also requires custom Christmas pajamas for everyone. Even newlyweds prepare gifts for their relatives and friends...

Last year, I made 150 sets of Christmas pajamas printed with their wedding photos for a Canadian couple. They said, "We want our family to remember our wedding on Christmas Eve." How heartwarming! There are also international student dormitories that hold "pajama exchange parties" every December, and the demand for custom-made pajamas is particularly high.

Personal Experience: How to Find the Right Christmas Pajama Manufacturer?

I will introduce you to four different Christmas pajama manufacturers. If you have better experiences, please feel free to leave me a message.

Asian Clothing Manufacturers:

Their minimum order quantity is usually 200 sets. The biggest advantage of Asian clothing manufacturers is their low prices. They can produce my goods quickly. They are the best partners for custom Christmas pajamas. There are many different clothing manufacturers in Asia. It took me five years to find the best Christmas pajama manufacturer in Asia.

To be honest, clothing brands that want to make more money must find the best Asian clothing manufacturer. Their products are low-priced, the clothing quality is good, and they can produce complex patterns and family sets. Their downside is the distance—it's hard to find the best clothing manufacturer.

American Clothing Manufacturers:

Their minimum order quantity is usually 100–500 sets. The biggest advantage of local clothing factories is that communication is convenient and fast. If I encounter orders with tight deadlines, I will choose them. However, their prices are high, and they cannot print complex patterns on some designs.

European Clothing Manufacturers:

Their minimum order quantity is usually over 2,000 sets. The biggest advantage of European clothing manufacturers is their high-quality clothing. They support European standard packaging. However, their production time is relatively long, and their prices are also high.

Clothing Customization Tips

If you order 500-1,000 sets of Christmas pajamas. You can try "hybrid channels". I made 800 sets of pajamas for a Boston company last year.

Contact Asian clothing manufacturers to make 500 sets of basic Christmas pajamas. Contact a European clothing manufacturer to make 300 sets of high-end Christmas pajamas. My method can not only control the cost, but also meet the urgent order needs of some customers.

My Story with Custom Christmas Pajamas

Ten years ago, when I first started taking on freelance projects, I came across a design studio in New York. Every Christmas, they released a "Sleigh Group Photo" series of pajamas. The designer told me, "These Christmas pajamas need to fit every member of the family." So they needed eight sizes, from infant size 0 to adult XXL. The patterns on the design drawings were sleds and Christmas trees.

At the time, I compared prices from three factories and ultimately chose a Chinese clothing manufacturer. I remember that during the first sample production, they made the cuffs of the infant-sized pajamas too loose and the neckline of the elderly-sized pajamas too high.

I contacted them with my feedback. Their boss told me he would personally oversee the alterations in the workshop. He joked with me, saying, "If the elderly ladies feel uncomfortable wearing them, Santa Claus will give me a bad review."

It was then that I established a long-term partnership with this clothing manufacturer. On Christmas Day, my clients happily shared group photos of themselves wearing the Christmas pajamas on Instagram. Seeing their joy made me feel a great sense of accomplishment. I realized that helping clients fulfill their Christmas vision is more important than making money.

Clothing Customization Process:a Gift for Beginners

After so many years of customization, I have come up with a "checklist". No matter whether you are looking for a local garment manufacturer or an Asian garment manufacturer. Before you customize your Christmas pajamas, take a look at my "checklist".

Step 1: Prepare High-Definition Design Drawings and Color Charts

Christmas red and green are particularly prone to chromatic aberration. Last year, I made a quilt for a client. The red sample they gave was "cherry red."But the factory printed it in "tomato red". Later, I asked all my clients to provide Pantone color numbers. For example, Christmas red is Pantone 18-1663 TPX and green is Pantone 15-6315 TPX. The resolution of the pattern on Christmas pajamas should be at least 300dpi; otherwise, it will be blurred when printed.

Step 2: Choose Fabrics Based on the Scene

Many places with hot weather come to me for custom-made 100% cotton Christmas pajamas. The reason is that 100% cotton Christmas pajamas are breathable.

For colder areas. Like my home.My Christmas pyjamas are usually made of flannel and coral fleece. But this kind of fabric needs to be careful about shrinking. If you want to customize Christmas pajamas made of this fabric. You should ask the garment manufacturer to apply a "pre-shrinking treatment" to the product.

High-end clothing brands looking to produce premium Christmas pajamas might consider bamboo fiber, which is skin-friendly and eco-friendly, though it does increase costs by 30%.

Step 3: Clearly Label the Size Chart

You must include US, UK, and CM sizes on your custom Christmas pajamas. Why not add a “fit guide” to the packaging of Christmas pajamas? I often see “fit guides” on clothing packaging when I'm shopping. A friend of mine who works in clothing sales told me that “fit guides” can reduce the number of returns due to incorrect sizing.

Step 4: Always Inspect the Christmas Pajama Samples!

Please note! Refuse all clothing manufacturers that do not provide samples. Those in the clothing industry should know that many clothes shrink after washing. Christmas pajamas will shrink into mini Christmas pajamas.

I typically request a "wash test sample" from the factory, a sample that has been washed three times to check for fading or shrinking. Two years ago, a customer complained that the sample fee was too expensive and skipped this step. As a result, the bulk order faded after just one wash, resulting in a loss of several thousand dollars. It wasn't worth it.

Step 5: Choose the Right Inspection Method

If the order volume is large, it is best to hire a third-party inspection agency. For example, SGS spend a few hundred dollars for peace of mind. One of my clients chose to inspect the factory themselves.

However, they did not check thoroughly, and upon receiving the goods, they found that many of the Christmas pajamas had unfinished sleeves. Ultimately, these Christmas pajamas had to be sold at a discount.

Common Questions: FAQ

What Is the Budget?

Cotton basics: $3.5–5 per set.

Coral fleece/flannel: $8–12 per set.

High-end materials (cashmere blend, bamboo fiber): $15–25 per set.

These prices do not include shipping or tariffs. Sea freight is approximately $0.5-1 per set, while air freight is 3-5 times more expensive. If you want to add embroidery or gift boxes, an additional $1-3 per set will be charged.

Print Color Bleeding:

When making samples, you must do a "wet wipe test". This means you need to wipe the print with a wet tissue. If the print does not fade, the Christmas pajamas will be qualified.Use Pantone TCX color swatches instead of RGB images, as there is a significant difference between what you see on a computer screen and the actual printed result.
