Grammy Week Kicks Off with Star-Studded Fire Relief Lounge by GBK
Beverly Hills – Grammy week celebrations officially began with a dose of philanthropy at the GBK Brand Bar Critics' Choice & Grammy Fire Relief Lounge. Held in Beverly Hills, the event brought together A-list celebrities, Grammy nominees and winners, and industry insiders to raise awareness and support for those affected by the recent devastating wildfires in Southern California. This year’s lounge partnered with two key organizations: Americares, a global health relief organization, and Crew Nation, which supports live music crews.
The lounge wasn't just a glamorous affair; it was a call to action. Attendees rolled up their sleeves and participated in assembling hygiene and cleaning kits that will be distributed to individuals and communities impacted by the fires. GBK CEO Gavin Keilly emphasized the personal connection to the cause, stating, “We love to be able to help the fire victims in any way we can through our events.”
The celebrity turnout was impressive, showcasing the entertainment industry’s commitment to giving back. Stars like Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, Casey Affleck, Mekhi Phifer, Katja Herbers, and Adina Porter were among the actors in attendance. The music world was equally well-represented, with Grammy nominees and winners including Maxine Ashley, J. Brown, Darius Dixson, members of Gojira, Jean & Marcus Baylor, Ricky Dillard, Lalah Hathaway, Gregory Porter, Jordan Adetunji, Durand Burnarr, Cyrille Aimee, Ricky Bell & Johnny Gill of New Edition, and more joining the cause.
Beyond the star power, the lounge offered a curated selection of gifts and experiences from a variety of brands. Bodywell showcased its cutting-edge biotech focused on wellness. MEND highlighted its luxury skincare line featuring stem cells and gold nanoparticles. Neurovalens offered a glimpse into the future of sleep technology with its Modius Sleep headset. For those looking for eco-friendly transportation options, 5TH WHEEL, a subsidiary of INVANTI, displayed its electric scooters and e-bikes. Fashion and accessories were also highlighted, with designs from SingleTree Lane and custom jewelry by Koulianos Designs.
Luxury travel was a major theme, with opportunities to experience exotic locales thanks to Sailrock Resort in Turks & Caicos, Raiwasa in Fiji, and a closer-to-home getaway at La Casa del Camino in Laguna Beach. Fashion designers Claude Kameni and Shari Henry showcased their latest creations, while Luenell’s Iconic perfume and Petty Pout lip treatments added a touch of red carpet glamour.
Guests indulged in culinary treats from Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, sipped on Vuelo Tequila and Hertelendy Vineyards wines, and enjoyed a sweet treat from the Cocoa and Candy candy bar. Home goods from Rest, Lumiere Rene Candle Company, and Imbibe Lifestyles provided a touch of home-inspired luxury. Other unique gifts included ghostwriting and publishing services by Action Takers Publishing and in-home dog training sessions from Rock Dog Canine Adjustments. DJ Bri Giger kept the energy high with music, while SIMS Blooms provided the stunning floral arrangements.
The GBK Critics’ Choice & Grammy Fire Relief Lounge proved to be more than just a pre-Grammy party; it was a testament to the power of community and the entertainment industry’s ability to make a difference. By combining the excitement of Grammy week with a focus on wildfire relief, the event made a tangible impact while celebrating talent and creativity.
