Paradiso Theater Debuts in Miami Beach with ‘UNHOLY’—An Immersive Masterstroke of Performance Art

From groundbreaking acrobatics to gourmet cuisine, the newly unveiled Paradiso Theater redefines Miami’s cultural stage with its avant-garde residency, UNHOLY.

A New Era for Miami Beach Nightlife and Performance Begins at 320 Lincoln Road

Miami Beach’s ever-evolving cultural identity has a new cornerstone. On April 4, 2025, Paradiso Theater opens its doors at 320 Lincoln Road, ushering in a bold chapter for the city’s entertainment landscape. Situated in the heart of South Beach, within the historic Flamingo Theater space, the venue is no ordinary revival—it’s a total reinvention. A portal, if you will, into the future of live performance.

At its helm is UNHOLY, a genre-bending residency by Circensia, the creative collective led by Charlie Maréchal, Nicolas Allard, and Silvia Dopazo, each with deep roots in the Cirque du Soleil legacy. Designed to challenge expectations and collapse the boundaries between performance art, comedy, and immersive storytelling, UNHOLY is not merely the theater’s inaugural show—it’s a statement of intent.

Performance as Provocation: Inside UNHOLY

‘UNHOLY’UNHOLY is anything but conventional. Inspired by Paradise Lost, the production is a sweeping, sensory-rich exploration of temptation, divinity, rebellion, and redemption—interwoven with unapologetic humor. It’s at once provocative and poetic, pushing into the spaces where aerial artistry and contemporary theater collide.

From a live musical prologue led by a musician-acrobat performing on the duduk, bansuri, and oud, to jaw-dropping sequences executed on custom aerial apparatuses—including a never-before-seen twisted ladder—the show is immersive in the truest sense. Each act is a cascade of light, shadow, and motion, performed by a global cast of artists hailing from Brazil, France, Venezuela, and the U.S., many of whom have graced the stages of Cirque du Soleil and major international venues.

The result? A completely new vocabulary for live theater in Miami.

The Theater as Experience: Architectural Elegance Meets Technical Precision

While UNHOLY dazzles center stage, the Paradiso Theater itself is a spectacle in its own right. Designed with towering LED arches, immersive screens, and custom acrobatic rigging, the 10,000-square-foot venue is a visual and technical marvel. The architectural language blends monastic elegance with high-concept futurism, creating a dynamic space that feels at once intimate and cinematic.

Owners Johan Pfeiffer and Gerald Bouhana describe the transformation of this former cinema and nightclub as nothing short of radical:

“This space is more than a stage—it’s a portal through time and space, set to make its mark on Miami’s entertainment scene with an unforgettable grand opening."

Culinary Theater: The Dining Experience at Paradiso

No performance venue staking a claim in Miami Beach would dare open without an equally considered culinary program—and Paradiso delivers. Its gourmet menu, available to guests during performances, is a tightly curated journey through refined comfort food and elegant indulgence.

Highlights include:

  • Rainbow Hummus, artfully plated and colorfully infused

  • Stracciatella with Fresh Tomatoes and Avocado, rich yet refreshing

  • Caviar with Blinis, the kind of indulgence that suits a night of spectacle

  • Handcrafted pastas like Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, Morel and Pea Rigatoni, and Okinawa Gnocchi with Herbed Cream Sauce

  • And for a final act: Crème Brûlée, executed with the finesse of a pastry atelier

Each dish is designed for theatergoers, delivering flavor without distraction, with ingredients that speak to the region’s culinary depth and international influences.
