ECD Automotive Design Unveils ‘67 Ghost Mustang: A Modern Tribute to Classic American Muscle
Introducing the ‘67 Ghost: A New Chapter in Custom Mustang Design
The debut of ECD’s Mustang program signals a deliberate pivot for the renowned builder, best known for reimagined Land Rovers and Jaguars. Now, with the launch of the ‘67 Ghost, a 1967 Mustang Fastback built entirely in-house, the company opens a new line of bespoke American muscle cars spanning the 1965–1970 model years.
Engineered for Enthusiasts: The Roush-Built V8
Authentic performance defines the ‘67 Ghost’s soul. ECD has partnered exclusively with Roush Performance to re-engineer classic Small Block Ford V8s, shunning the trend of modern crate engines or EV conversions. This Fastback houses a 465-horsepower Roush 347 IR V8, tuned to preserve vintage character while enhancing responsiveness and drivability.
A Chassis for the Modern Road
Roadster Shop RS Spec underpinnings ensure the car is as confident in corners as it is comfortable for daily use. Adjustable RS SV Fox coilovers, 11-inch drilled and slotted rotors, and four-piston red calipers offer control and composure — elevating the build from period recreation to modern driver’s machine.
Exterior Finish: Classic Aesthetic with Contemporary Craft
The exterior pays homage to Mustang tradition with High Gloss Mineral White paint and Gloss Santorini Black rally stripes. Details like 17-inch Rambler chrome wheels and a vented hood with integrated turn signals reinforce the heritage while revealing the craftsmanship behind each finish.
Interior Design: Where Heritage Meets Innovation
Inside the cabin, luxury meets muscle. Heated Recaro front seats in black leather with tan diamond-stitched inserts provide comfort with edge. A brushed aluminum dash, Grant Classic steering wheel, and All American gauges offer tactile nods to the ‘60s — paired seamlessly with Apple CarPlay, JBL audio, remote start, and a live-feed digital rearview mirror.
A Statement from ECD’s Leadership
“This is the beginning of what we’re calling a Mustang stampede. 67 Ghost represents the next evolution of what ECD stands for — bespoke design, authentic powertrains, and best-in-class craftsmanship.”
Scott Wallace, CEO of ECD
CTO Elliot Humble adds: “We’re not following the crowd... we’re doing something far more special — taking original Small Block Fords and making them better with Roush.”
A Glimpse at What’s Next
ECD’s Mustang division is only just starting. Additional builds — including commissions inspired by Shelby and Boss-era styling — are underway. The program offers an elevated alternative in the restomod space, grounded in legacy and performance while tailored for how luxury drivers live and drive today.
