Renaissance man, Jon Haggins, has been presented with the Entertainment/Variety Award by Brooklyn's BRIC entertainment and education organization.

Haggins television program features travels from throughout the world with an eye toward fostering understanding of different cultures. His recent shows have him in Vietnam, Thailand and India.

A familiar face on New York TV, Haggins easy manner and soft-spoken delivery, offers viewers an intimate look and understanding of a variety of cultures.

Jon also interviews guests of interest to New  Yorkers in an easy-going conversational format.

He's put some of his adventures together in a book entitled "Chasing Wild Ass." OK, so it's not exactly what you might think and it is suitable for children to read. It's a narrative of his travels to more than 60 countries and how he chased wold jackasses in the Kutch Wild Ass Sanctuary in Gujarat, India.
