Founded in memory of Matthew Friedman—a brilliant Pre-Med student at Cornell University with aspirations of becoming a surgeon—the Foundation champions causes close to his heart: brain aneurysm research, scholarships for high school students, and support for volunteer EMTs. Matthew's sudden passing at 19 from a ruptured brain aneurysm in April 2023 left an immeasurable void. Yet through this Foundation, his passion, compassion, and drive continue to guide efforts that touch countless lives.

The gala brought together friends, family, community leaders, sports figures, and medical advocates for an evening of remembrance and purpose. From exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the New York Jets and Giants locker rooms to walking the field where legends have played, guests experienced an unforgettable evening. Brian Friedman, Matthew’s father and Chief Operating Officer of the New York Jets, addressed the room with moving honesty.
“It’s still very raw. But I know Matthew wouldn’t want me to retreat—he’d want me to do something that makes a difference.”
