Utah’s red rock landscapes have long drawn adventure seekers and spiritual travelers alike—but now, a new destination is offering something equally restorative, with far less elevation gain. On July 15, Zion Canyon Hot Springs officially opened in La Verkin, just minutes from Zion National Park, as the third and most ambitious property from WorldSprings, the nation’s fastest-growing network of outdoor hot springs retreats.

Featuring more than 50 geothermal and mineral-rich soaking pools, the new property delivers a wellness experience that’s both ancient in its inspiration and contemporary in execution. It’s not just a place to relax after a day on the trails—it’s a full immersion into the elemental power of water, mineral therapy, and landscape-driven restoration.

At the core of this project is something both geological and deeply local: the La Verkin Sulphur Springs (Pah Tempe). Once revered and now responsibly reintegrated into public access, these geothermal waters are known for their naturally occurring minerals and wellness benefits—from easing stress and promoting better sleep to aiding muscle recovery and circulation.

Thanks to a landmark partnership with the Utah Water Conservancy District, these geothermal waters now flow directly into the resort’s soaking pools, which range in temperature from 88°F to 104°F. A dedicated water management system ensures regular refresh cycles and final filtration before the water is safely returned to the nearby Virgin River.

In addition to its access to natural geothermal waters, Zion Canyon Hot Springs integrates WorldSprings’ signature globally inspired mineral pools. Each pool emulates iconic wellness destinations—think Iceland’s Blue Lagoon, the Dead Sea, and Japan’s Hokkaido onsens—allowing guests to soak their way around the world without ever leaving Utah.

Complementing the mineral therapy experience are amenities designed for whole-body wellness and relaxation, including:

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Governor Spencer J. Cox described the property as “a great addition to La Verkin, the state of Utah, and the United States of America,” underscoring the resort’s potential to attract both domestic and international visitors while remaining committed to environmental stewardship.

General Manager and Vice President Ronald Neumann—a seasoned leader with previous tenures at Great Wolf Lodge and Five Star Parks—also emphasized the region’s unique collaborative spirit.

As part of its mission to make wellness more accessible, Zion Canyon Hot Springs opens with introductory pricing starting at $39, and offers discounted admission for local residents with valid ID. The pricing model reflects WorldSprings’ new “Just Add Water” brand identity—a counterpoint to increasingly complex wellness trends that celebrates simplicity, ritual, and reconnection with nature.

WorldSprings now operates locations in Glenwood Springs, CO (as Iron Mountain Hot Springs) and Dallas, TX, with Zion Canyon marking its largest property to date. The brand’s continued growth is bolstered by recent executive leadership appointments, including Vimla Black-Gupta as Board Director and Advisor.
