A Culinary Cause: Table for Change Brings Miami’s Finest Together
Miami’s culinary scene is gearing up for an event that promises not only gastronomic delights but also heartfelt impact. On January 22, 2025, Rethink Food and James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Schwartz will host Table for Change, an exclusive dinner gala at the picturesque Amara at Paraiso. This waterfront gem on Biscayne Bay will set the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime culinary collaboration, showcasing the talents of Schwartz, Andrew Zimmern, and Marc Vetri, three culinary legends boasting seven James Beard Awards between them.
This elegant evening celebrates a remarkable milestone: $1 million raised by Genuine Hospitality Group in support of Miami’s small local restaurants and their efforts to combat food insecurity. With an intricate menu, world-class wine pairings, live music, and a raffle of unique items, Table for Change is more than an event—it’s a movement.
A Feast for the Senses
The seated dinner, limited to just 80 guests, promises an unparalleled dining experience. Each course will be meticulously crafted by one of the three culinary icons, culminating in a collaborative entrée. Dessert will be a sweet finale, courtesy of the skilled team at Amara at Paraiso. Prior to the main event, guests will enjoy exquisite canapés created in partnership with Rethink Food’s local restaurant collaborators, each paired with the chefs to spotlight Miami’s vibrant culinary tapestry.
“This night is about giving back and continuing our mission with Rethink Food to help local restaurants thrive. It’s a celebration of the heart and soul of Miami’s food culture.”
Chef Michael Schwartz

With 10.4% of the local population facing food insecurity, this initiative has been a lifeline for many.
The event also highlights the ongoing success of Rethink Food’s innovative model, inviting diners at Amara and Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink to donate an additional 2% of their checks, creating a sustainable support system for small restaurants and food-insecure residents alike.
