Mark your calendars for an evening of epicurean excellence on Saturday, February 22, 2025, as The Patio at the iconic Continuum residences hosts its sixth annual intimate dinner in partnership with the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival® (SOBEWFF®). Taking place from February 20–23, 2025, this year’s SOBEWFF® offers not just indulgence but also a purpose—all proceeds benefit the students of the Florida International University (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, supporting the next generation of culinary and hospitality leaders.
Under Miami Beach’s starlit skies, guests will savor a symphony of flavors crafted by three culinary virtuosos: Tom Jackson of All Things BBQ, Jeff Bud of Apocalypse BBQ, and The Patio’s very own Executive Chef Claudio Lobina. This exclusive event combines fine dining with the smoky allure of barbeque in a way that only SOBEWFF® can deliver.
Meet the Masters Behind the Grill
Tom Jackson
Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, Tom Jackson brings a legacy of precision and passion to the art of barbeque. With roots in artisan bread and pastry, Jackson honed his craft under the tutelage of James Beard Award-winning chef Ken Forkish before making his mark at All Things BBQ, where he’s been teaching and creating recipes since 2014.
Jeff Bud
A Miami native with a flair for bold flavors, Jeff Bud turned a backyard passion into a culinary empire with Apocalypse BBQ. Known for inventive smoked meats and daring flavor combinations, Bud’s restaurant quickly became a local favorite, solidifying Miami’s reputation as a barbeque destination.
Chef Claudio Lobina
As Executive Chef of The Patio, Chef Claudio Lobina blends his Italian heritage and Mediterranean influences to create dishes that are both innovative and authentic. His contributions to this event promise to bring a refined European touch to the bold flavors of barbeque.
