Carlos Gaytán: A Chef Who Rewrites Culinary History

Chef Carlos Gaytán is no stranger to making history. In 2013, he became the first Mexican chef to earn a Michelin star for his acclaimed Chicago restaurant, Mexique. His trailblazing approach to Mexican cuisine has since led to an expansion of his culinary empire, with Tzuco in Chicago and a trio of celebrated establishments—Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita—at Downtown Disney District in Anaheim.

Now, in a full-circle moment, Gaytán returns to Guerrero—the place where his love for cooking began—to craft a dining experience that blends haute cuisine with the comforting, nostalgic flavors of his childhood.
