April 10, 2025 — Bonchon has officially landed in Miami Beach, bringing its cult-followed Korean fried chicken to South Florida for the first time. Located on Washington Avenue, the new outpost marks a major milestone for the international brand, which now counts over 455 locations worldwide. Miami’s debut store is the beginning of a broader regional expansion led by the Kochalos Hospitality Group, with six more Miami-area restaurants on the horizon, including an upcoming Doral location slated for summer 2025.
Bonchon, which means “my hometown” in Korean, has built a global reputation for its hand-battered, double-fried chicken and signature hand-brushed sauces—blending tradition with a uniquely addictive crunch. Founded by Jinduk Seo in 2002, the brand first arrived stateside in 2006 and has since become one of the fastest-growing names in casual global dining. The Miami Beach opening cements its entry into one of the country’s most food-savvy, culturally diverse markets.
“Known for its diverse culinary scene and vibrant culture, we thought Miami Beach was the perfect environment for a playful and approachable concept like Bonchon and we’ll be adding some Latin nods to honor our city. We look forward to opening our doors to the community and offering excellent quality at an affordable price… that's what Bonchon is all about.”
