Sexy Fish Miami Celebrates 10 Years with Playful Missing Fish Campaign
In honor of its 10th anniversary this August, Sexy Fish has launched the Missing Fish Campaign, a whimsical tribute to one of the restaurant’s most unexpected icons — the fish-shaped chopstick holders that have been quietly “swimming away” since its debut. Over the past decade, more than 558,000 of these petite collectibles have disappeared from tables worldwide, finding their way into the homes of fans who simply couldn’t resist.
How to Join the Hunt
Now through August 31, guests are encouraged to return any “missing” fish to any Sexy Fish location. In return, each fish earns its rightful redeemer a complimentary cocktail from the newly unveiled X Menu, a limited-edition 10th anniversary collection inspired by the restaurant’s most celebrated creations over the past decade.
The rules are simple. One fish may be returned per person per visit, and it must be handed to reception before dining. The complimentary cocktail offer is valid only for selections from the X Menu, and participants must be 21 or older. Management retains the right to refuse service, though the campaign is designed in good humor, embracing the playful spirit of the brand.
A Decade of Decadence
Since opening its flagship in London’s Mayfair in 2015, Sexy Fish has become synonymous with experience-led dining. Known for its Japanese-inspired cuisine, the restaurant’s repertoire spans meticulously crafted sushi, sashimi, seafood, and Robata-grilled meats. Standout dishes include Duck Salad, Smoked Tuna Belly, Black Cod, and King Crab with Bone Marrow, alongside unique offerings exclusive to each location.
The Miami outpost opened in 2022, following in the footsteps of the Mayfair original and preceding Manchester (2023) and Dubai (2024). Its late-night energy, creative menu design, and award-winning bar program have earned the brand accolades such as the Excellence Award from the Pinnacle Guide (2024) and the International Best Restaurant Bar honor from the Forbes Tales of Cocktail Awards (2022).
Design Meets Drama
Behind Sexy Fish’s theatrical interiors is Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the creative force behind its mid-century glamour and opulence. The Miami space is adorned with exclusive artworks by Damien Hirst and custom fish lamps by Frank Gehry, creating a setting as visually arresting as its plates. Conceptualized by Richard Caring, Chairman of Caprice Holdings, the restaurant continues to push boundaries in both aesthetics and hospitality.
Plan Your Visit
Sexy Fish Miami, located at 1001 South Miami Avenue, is open Sunday through Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am, and Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 pm until late. Guests returning their “missing fish” will not only secure a specialty cocktail but also take part in a lighthearted moment celebrating a decade of culinary artistry and design innovation.
