Hanson Builders Unveils Minnesota’s First St. Jude Dream Home® Showplace

On August 13, 2025, Hanson Builders welcomed community leaders and guests to a ribbon cutting ceremony and VIP Sneak Peek Event for the St. Jude Dream Home® Showplace in Maple Grove, Minnesota. City of Maple Grove Mayor Mark Steffenson, City Councilmembers, and other local figures joined Hanson Builders’ President JD Hanson to celebrate the completion of this landmark property — the first St. Jude Dream Home® Showplace ever built in the state.

The $1.9 million residence, located in the coveted Evanswood neighborhood, represents more than architectural achievement. Net proceeds from its sale will directly benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and its mission: Finding Cures. Saving Children.®

This debut marks a new chapter for philanthropic homebuilding in Minnesota. Hanson Builders expressed deep appreciation for national sponsors including Brizo®, Shaw Industries®, Trane®, Bosch®, and Kichler Lighting® for their partnership, as well as for the support of the local community in raising awareness about the project. The team considers the home a shared achievement, uniting craftsmanship with a cause that resonates far beyond the neighborhood.

Breaking ground in November 2024, Hanson Builders brought their signature craftsmanship and attention to detail to every stage of construction. The home showcases sustainable building practices, high-end finishes, and carefully curated design elements that align with the company’s reputation for excellence. Each room reflects the same thoughtful approach — a blend of functionality, beauty, and enduring quality.

The residence will be open to the public during the Fall 2025 Parade of Homes® as a Dream Home, available for viewing every Friday through Sunday from September 5–28, noon to 6 p.m. Admission is $5, with all proceeds supporting St. Jude. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the property’s innovative features and inspiring design firsthand.

For the eventual homeowner, purchasing the property means acquiring a remarkable custom residence while contributing to groundbreaking research and care for children battling life-threatening diseases.
