April 7th, 2025 – The Tony Awards have long been the pinnacle of theatrical celebration, honoring the brightest stars and most stirring performances on Broadway. This year, the ceremony welcomes a partner equally rooted in legacy and artistry: Cunard. On April 7, it was announced that the legendary British cruise line has been named the official cruise partner of the 78th Annual Tony Awards, further intertwining the worlds of high-seas luxury and center-stage glamour.
As the awards return to Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, 2025, viewers tuning in via CBS and Paramount+ will see Cunard take its place in the spotlight alongside the season’s top theatrical talent. Hosted by the incomparable Cynthia Erivo—herself a Tony, Emmy, and GRAMMY Award-winner and three-time Oscar nominee—the ceremony promises an evening of artistry elevated by elegance.
A Shared Stage: Broadway and Cunard
For over 185 years, Cunard has hosted a constellation of icons from stage and screen aboard its storied ships. Its latest honor as the Tony Awards' official cruise partner only reinforces a deep-rooted commitment to the performing arts. This fall, the Queen Elizabeth—departing from her new homeport in Miami—will carry that legacy forward by featuring Broadway and West End performers on every Caribbean voyage, offering passengers a floating theatre experience that rivals those found in Manhattan’s famed district.
The alignment is far from incidental.
“The Tony Awards are not only a celebration of the current Broadway season, but of the art of theatre and how it can be shared with new audiences all around the world. Cunard’s commitment to offering world-class theatre experiences at sea make them the perfect partner.”
Jason Laks, President of The Broadway League, and Heather Hitchens, President & CEO of the American Theater Wing
Liz Fettes, Senior Vice President, Commercial North America, echoed that sentiment, noting:
“At Cunard we pride ourselves on bringing world-class Broadway and West End talent and productions to our itineraries… We look forward to celebrating the class of 2025 with a touch of British luxury.”

Setting the Scene for 2025
The 78th Annual Tony Awards will spotlight achievements from the 2024–2025 Broadway season, with nominations set to be revealed on May 1. For those eager to attend in person, a limited number of tickets are now available starting at $595, with seating located in the second and third mezzanines at Radio City Music Hall. Tickets can be secured via TonyAwards.com and Ticketmaster.com, with a limit of six per purchase.
As Broadway prepares for its most anticipated evening of the year, the presence of Cunard promises a refined and cosmopolitan flourish. This partnership doesn’t merely signal a corporate alignment—it’s a celebration of artistry on land and at sea, a harmonious duet between the grandeur of the stage and the elegance of the ocean.
