Indian Motorcycle, America’s oldest and most storied motorcycle manufacturer, has just redefined what it means to ride in premium style. With the unveiling of the 2025 Indian Challenger Elite and Indian Pursuit Elite, the brand introduces two meticulously crafted limited-edition models that fuse touring performance, cutting-edge rider tech, and custom-caliber detailing—straight from the factory floor.

Both models will be limited to just 600 units globally—350 Challenger Elites and 250 Pursuit Elites—underscoring Indian Motorcycle’s commitment to authentic exclusivity in a category often dominated by high-volume lookalikes. With production already underway, these Elite models are expected to command significant attention among collectors and performance-focused riders alike.

Design That Honors Legacy While Driving Forward

Each bike draws visual inspiration from Indian Motorcycle’s early 20th-century dominance—most notably Gene "Alabama Flash" Walker’s legendary speed record on a 1920 Indian PowerPlus. That legacy lives on in the Challenger Elite’s tri-tone paint, accented by hand-finished Black Candy, Red Candy, and Crystal White Pearl Satin with shattered glass metallic flake. A subtle Headdress logo fade and exclusive PowerPlus 112 engine covers complete the race-inspired design, while a numbered center console features an etched image of Walker’s historic racer.

The Pursuit Elite pays tribute to Indian’s wartime production of PowerPlus motorcycles for the U.S. Army in 1916. Its Black Candy and Black Forest Candy paint is accented with hand-applied Championship Gold striping and premium Dark Horse finishes, delivering a tone of modern military elegance that speaks to both past and present.

Every component—from five-spoke machined wheels to Pathfinder Adaptive LED lighting—feels tailored, not mass-produced. Paint alone takes 24 hours to complete using a multi-layered process, making each Elite model a rolling work of art.

PowerPlus 112: Engineering at Full Throttle

At the heart of both models lies the PowerPlus 112, Indian Motorcycle’s championship-proven engine platform. With 126 horsepower and 133 ft-lbs of torque, the liquid-cooled V-twin delivers a consistent, high-performance ride across all conditions. Tested under extreme conditions through Indian’s King of the Baggers factory race team, the PowerPlus engine proves itself not just on the street, but on the track—where high torque and heat resistance are non-negotiables.

Thanks to overhead cams and four valves per cylinder, the engine revs high while retaining the torque-rich soul of an American V-twin—resulting in rapid acceleration in every gear with no compromise in comfort or control.

Premium Touring Components Meet Rider-Focused Technology

Performance and luxury are fully integrated throughout. Inverted forks, dual radial Brembo brakes, and Metzeler Cruisetec tires translate power into precision, while Indian’s Electronically Adjustable Rear Suspension Preload allows for effortless adjustment based on passenger or gear weight—directly from the seven-inch RIDE COMMAND display.

Each Elite model also comes equipped with Heated Seats, Heated Grips, Pathfinder LED Auxiliary Saddlebag Lights, and Adaptive Windshields, creating an environment built for year-round use across any terrain.

New Rider Assist Technologies take safety and awareness to a new level:

  • Bike Hold Control maintains braking on inclines for up to three minutes.

  • Combined Brake System optimizes front and rear pressure during emergency stops.

  • Blind Spot Warning and Tailgate Warning use light indicators and the in-dash display to keep riders informed.

  • Rear Collision Warning alerts approaching vehicles through enhanced rear lighting.

These systems are bundled with Indian’s established SmartLean Technology, which uses IMU-based inputs to optimize braking and traction during cornering.

Audio as Immersive as the Ride Itself

Music is central to the Elite experience. The PowerBand Audio System delivers high-fidelity sound with 100-watt speakers—four on the Challenger, six on the Pursuit. A nine-band dynamic equalizer adjusts automatically for wind, road, and engine noise. Integrated LED UnderGlow lighting subtly highlights speaker contours, adding a modern aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the bikes' aggressive styling.

RIDE COMMAND+ enhances the dashboard experience with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay®, live traffic overlays, and advanced features like Bike Locator for remote monitoring and connectivity.

Built for the Rider Who Demands More

With MSRPs starting at $39,999 for the Challenger Elite and $49,999 for the Pursuit Elite, these bikes sit firmly at the intersection of two-wheeled luxury and elite performance. Their styling is rooted in heritage, their engineering in championship performance, and their features in modern necessity.

As Aaron Jax, Vice President of Indian Motorcycle, notes:

"Every detail within the Indian Challenger Elite and Indian Pursuit Elite is meticulously designed. A distinctive American style, with an obsessive attention to detail, paired with a limited production of each model makes the Indian Motorcycle Elite series the ultimate in style and exclusivity."

Aaron Jax, Vice President of Indian Motorcycle

These are not motorcycles for the mainstream. They’re for those who see riding as a statement, a pursuit, and an extension of personal expression. And with only 600 of these masterpieces ever to be built, exclusivity is more than a promise—it’s a guarantee.
