Downtown Miami is about to feel more like Rio—or at least like a World Cup fan zone. Kicking off April 25, Julia & Henry’s will transform its historic home on Flagler Street into a dynamic soccer hub with the launch of The Downtown Cup, an all-ages, community-focused tournament with serious style—and even more serious prizes.
In partnership with Delta Air Lines, LATAM, Celsius, and the Miami Downtown Development Authority, the multi-level culinary destination is introducing a pop-up street pitch—the Delta & LATAM Soccer Field—bringing a fast-paced, 5v5 competition to the heart of the city. With divisions open to players of all ages and all-star awards like five round-trip tickets to South America and Michelin-level dining experiences, The Downtown Cup is more than just a game. It’s a celebration of sport, culture, and culinary creativity.
Game On: How to Play (and Win)
The tournament’s format is simple, but the stakes are high. Open to three divisions—Kids (10 & under), Teens (11–14), and Adults (15+)—each match will feature two 35-minute halves and a brief halftime. The competition welcomes players in any attire—no cleats required—and embraces a neighborhood pick-up game vibe with high-level rewards. Registration is $20 per player or $100 per team, and entries are accepted through April 23.

And the prizes? The Adult Division champions will earn five round-trip flights to South America, thanks to Delta and LATAM. The runner-up team will receive a Michelin-recognized dining experience at Torno Subito, featuring five dinners for two—offered courtesy of Don Q.

Beyond the Bracket: Free Play, Street Food, and More
Before kickoff, players can warm up at their leisure. Starting April 21, the Delta & LATAM Soccer Field opens for pick-up games and free play, with time slots available for reservation through the Plei App beginning April 18 by searching "downtown fields." Built with professional-grade turf, 11-foot net enclosures, and a 75x35-foot layout, the field is designed for both casual and competitive action.
Match times are scheduled weekdays from 5:30–9:30 p.m., and weekends from 2:30–6:30 p.m. Pick-up soccer is available weekdays from 11:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and weekends from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. and again from 7–10 p.m.
