Pizza Gets a Mezcal Makeover in Emmy Squared’s Star-Studded Summer Collaboration

The culinary crossover we didn’t know we needed—but now can’t stop craving—has officially landed. Emmy Squared Pizza, the award-winning Detroit-style pizzeria with Brooklyn roots, has teamed up with Dos Hombres, the artisanal mezcal brand founded by Breaking Bad alums Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, for a national, limited-time menu that marries wood-fired creativity with smoky Oaxacan spirit.

Now available at all Emmy Squared locations across the U.S., the Emmy x Dos Hombres menu is a mezcal-fueled love letter to flavor. Featuring a bold Detroit-style pizza, elevated Mexican street corn, and a quartet of cocktails crafted with Dos Hombres Mezcal, the collaboration invites guests to sip, savor, and experience something a little unexpected—and a lot delicious.

The Menu: Where Mezcal Meets Motor City

Detroit-style pizza might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of mezcal, but this collab flips the script in all the right ways. The culinary team at Emmy Squared built the new offerings around mezcal’s signature smokiness, integrating Mexican-inspired ingredients and playful pairings into the restaurant’s signature dishes.

El Jefe Detroit-Style Pizza

This isn’t your typical slice. El Jefe layers Emmy’s signature crispy cheese-edged crust with house-made tomatillo sauce, mezcal-marinated chicken, bell peppers, and pecorino. A cilantro lime crema and fresh queso fresco round things out for a bite that’s rich, bright, and unmistakably smoky.

Dos Hombres© Dipped Corn

An homage to Mexico City street food, this elote-inspired side is as indulgent as it is sharable. Roasted corn is coated in a buttery blend of sour cream, cream cheese, and lime, topped with queso fresco and cilantro, and served with tortilla chips for a dip-worthy finish.

The Emmy x Dos Hombres cocktail menu brings the same level of craft to the glass as the kitchen does to the plate. Each drink is designed to highlight the earthy, subtly smoky profile of Dos Hombres Mezcal, made from 100% Espadín agave in Oaxaca using traditional production methods.

Dos Fashioned

A sultry remix of the classic Old Fashioned. Dos Hombres Mezcal meets Lunazul Reposado Tequila, agave, and Angostura bitters for a slightly sweet, spirit-forward cocktail that lingers with just the right amount of smoke.

Oaxacan Sour

A tamarind-forward take on the sour. This cocktail balances lemon juice, Lillet Blanc, bitters, and Dos Hombres Mezcal with house-made tamarind syrup. The result? Tangy, complex, and distinctly sophisticated.

Smoke & Soul

Tropical with a dark side. Mezcal and Captain Morgan rum blend with Spirits of Alchemy’s Cast Away pineapple mixer and fresh lime juice. Smooth and made for sipping slowly—ideally at golden hour.

Mezcaloma

A fresh twist on a Paloma with an extra kick. Combining mezcal and tequila with grapefruit, lime, agave, and pickled jalapeños, this cocktail finishes with a splash of sparkling soda and a welcome jolt of heat.

The Dos Hombres Effect: Mezcal With a Mission

Founded by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, Dos Hombres has carved out a reputation for authenticity and craft. Their mezcal is made in collaboration with third-generation maestro mezcalero Gregorio Velasco in the hills of San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca, using time-honored techniques like earthen pit ovens and tahona wheel milling.
