June 3, 2025 – Rooftop season in Manhattan has never been short on spectacle, but this summer, Magic Hour at Moxy Times Square has raised the bar—literally and metaphorically. With the debut of Full Bloom, Tao Group Hospitality’s latest seasonal takeover transforms New York City’s largest indoor-outdoor rooftop into a kaleidoscopic garden wonderland, open now through September.
Located on the venue’s west terrace, Full Bloom is more than a thematic refresh—it’s a full-sensory installation. Towering blooms, surreal sculptures, and botanical cocktails converge in a maximalist vision that merges nostalgia with fantasy. The star of the show is a 12-foot-tall floral bouquet by experiential design studio Geo Events, the creative force behind recent viral activations across the city like the “Big Birk.” Here, sculptural roses, peonies, and wildflowers in pastel hues stretch skyward like a psychedelic centerpiece in a dream garden.
“We wanted to design something that felt surreal yet joyful—like stepping into the pages of a storybook. Full Bloom is our maximalist love letter to spring and New York creativity.”Azizan Ali, Founder and Lead Designer at Design House Decor
The design ethos behind Full Bloom plays out in unexpected ways. Vines twist up walls and across ceilings, interwoven with checkerboards, wave patterns, and intentionally “wonky” visuals that toe the line between psychedelic and playful. Even the rooftop’s iconic carousel has been given a floral makeover, enveloped in cascading greenery and oversized blooms that feel plucked from a fairy tale.
Nearby, a dramatic wall installation composed of six- to eight-foot-tall blossoms frames the terrace with a striking floral skyline.
“For Magic Hour, we wanted to design something truly unforgettable that people would instantly connect with—something as jaw-dropping in real life as it is on camera.”Giovanni Casas, Owner of Geo Events
The culinary program follows suit, with seasonal additions led by Executive Chef Ben-Galy Cisse and a sweets menu by Chef Erin Cayaban. A highlight: the Botanical Spritz tasting flight, served in long-stemmed flutes presented in an iridescent vase. Curated by Senior Director of Beverage Nikki McCutcheon, the lineup includes the Lavender Haze (lavender syrup, lemon juice, prosecco) and the Golden Hour (Lobos Blanco, mango-chili and passionfruit purée, agave, prosecco). Nonalcoholic options like the Soft Launch (Nozeco Peach Bellini) round out the experience.
Beyond cocktails, Magic Hour has updated its core food offerings with all-day menu favorites like Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, Shrimp Ceviche, and Lobster Rolls. Weekend brunch—available Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.—features dishes like Egg White Frittata and Crème Brûlée French Toast.
Full Bloom is not just decorative—it’s an evolving stage for the season’s programming. Expect drag brunches, surprise DJ sets, curated pop-ups, and collaborative moments with tastemakers and local attractions. The space is also available for private bookings, offering a lush, escapist backdrop for celebrations and brand activations.
“Each year, our guests eagerly await the big reveal at Magic Hour—and Full Bloom is no exception. It’s incredibly exciting to watch this space come to life season after season and see how thrilled people are to discover the next evolution of the rooftop experience.”Yvonne Najor, Tao Group VP of Hotel Marketing
