Lights Out and Away They Go—on Camera

Keanu Reeves is back in the driver’s seat—this time not in a movie, but as the host and executive producer of a high-octane docuseries documenting the launch of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team. Announced on July 2, 2025, the new limited series offers viewers a rare front-row seat to the inner workings of Formula 1’s newest entrant, led by TWG Motorsports in collaboration with General Motors.

Set to premiere ahead of Cadillac’s inaugural race at the 2026 FIA Formula 1® World Championship™ season opener in Melbourne, the series traces the building of a team from scratch—a bold mission that aims to reshape America’s role in a sport long dominated by European titans.

An American Dream, Engineered for F1

Formula 1® may be a global powerhouse, but until now, a truly American team has been more concept than reality. Enter TWG Motorsports, backed by the industrial muscle of General Motors, and determined to put Cadillac on the F1 map. It’s a debut that arrives not just with horsepower and heritage—but with a camera crew in tow.

With Reeves at the helm, the yet-to-be-titled series is produced by North One (a part of the All3Media group) in partnership with KR+SH, the production company Reeves co-founded. The storytelling team includes Emmy Award-winning director Simon Hammerson and three-time BAFTA-winning executive producer Neil Duncanson, both of whom helped craft last year’s acclaimed Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, also hosted by Reeves.

"I'm very honored and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1® Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1® racing. Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world."
Keanu Reeves

Exclusive Access and High-Stakes Storytelling

Made possible through unprecedented access granted by TWG Motorsports and GM, the series will offer an immersive look at what it truly takes to build a competitive F1 team—design, engineering, talent recruitment, infrastructure, and above all, time.

With the 2026 season looming, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The series will chronicle the physical and psychological demands of starting a team from the ground up, while unpacking the cultural significance of Cadillac entering a sport often perceived as out of reach for American manufacturers.

"This is a story of bold ambition and relentless drive. We’re honored to work with Keanu, whose passion and knowledge of racing runs deep, and proud to partner with GM on this incredible story. We have an opportunity to welcome a new generation of fans to Formula 1®, and Keanu’s creativity is the perfect spark to ignite that journey."
Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1® Team

Cadillac, Cameras, and a Cultural Shift in Motorsport

As Formula 1® continues to gain traction with American audiences, thanks in no small part to Netflix’s Drive to Survive, the Cadillac team’s arrival signals something deeper: a homegrown effort with pedigree, precision, and pop-cultural appeal. The documentary won’t just track car builds or test runs—it will dive into the ethos of creating something distinctly American in a sport that has often run on European fuel.

“General Motors and TWG Motorsports joined forces on a bold mission—to build a uniquely American Formula 1 team. It’s a thrill to have Keanu Reeves document the Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s journey to our first season in the FIA Formula One World Championship™.”
Mark Reuss, President of GM

Coming Soon: Trackside Drama and Off-Track Grit

Slated to air ahead of the Melbourne race in March 2026, the series has yet to announce a streaming platform, but if Reeves’ Emmy-winning Brawn docuseries is any indicator, fans can expect cinematic storytelling, behind-the-scenes grit, and moments that cut deeper than telemetry and tire strategy.

For motorsport enthusiasts, this is more than just another F1 doc. It’s the story of what it means to build—not just a team, but a legacy.
