Monterey Car Week 2025 provided the stage for the world premiere of the Karma Gyesera, a production-intent Hybrid Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) that marks the next chapter in Karma Automotive’s luxury performance story. Slated to enter production in Q4 2025 with a starting price of approximately $165,000, the Gyesera reimagines what a modern Grande Coupé can be—merging cutting-edge technology, elevated design, and a focus on exclusivity for discerning drivers.
The Gyesera steps into the role once held by the pioneering Karma Revero, the plug-in luxury hybrid that helped define the segment over a decade ago. Building on that foundation, Karma has introduced a completely new aluminum and carbon reinforced composite body atop its evolved all-aluminum space-frame architecture. The result is a lighter, stronger platform that supports both performance and efficiency.
First shown as a concept in March 2024, the Gyesera has served as the launchpad for Karma’s Intelligent Product Development System (IPDS)—a process that integrates “digital twin” simulations with traditional engineering. This hybrid approach, borrowed from the tech sector, enables faster development cycles, improved durability, and greater design precision.
“We are not just aiming to make new kinds of products. We are aiming to make a new kind of product company.”Marques McCammon, President and CEO of Karma Automotive
Powered by Karma’s latest-generation Hybrid EREV powertrain, the Gyesera produces 566 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque, launching from 0–60 mph in just four seconds—half a second quicker than the Revero. Paired with a low-slung, four-seat Grande Coupé body, the car’s dynamics are sharpened by an aluminum and carbon composite construction that reduces mass while maintaining structural rigidity.
Design elements include a low nose with a purposeful front splitter, a wide radiator opening, and lightweight forged billet aluminum 22-inch wheels wrapped in Karma-specific Pirelli tires. Distinctive cues such as the brand’s “Backslash” rocker detail and “Target Acquisition” exterior lighting give the Gyesera a presence that is both instantly recognizable and entirely new.
Inside, the Gyesera’s “Moondust” leather cabin with “Atmosphere Blue” accents reveals Karma’s design renaissance. Clean lines span from door to door, hiding HVAC mechanics behind slim metal trim for a seamless aesthetic. The driver experience is powered by a Qualcomm 8155-based Cockpit Information Controller (CIC), with redesigned digital displays that prioritize function over flash, avoiding oversized infotainment screens in favor of an integrated, driver-focused layout.
Key interior details include a cascading piano black center console, a jewel-like suspended key fob, discreet wireless charging, and 15% increased rear legroom courtesy of lightweight front seats. The cabin experience is further enhanced by Master & Dynamic’s Tune audio equalization and expanded over-the-air (OTA) updates with AI-powered Anticipatory Service Diagnostics.
The Gyesera’s arrival signals a bold direction for Karma, with the Amaris GT Coupé—priced from approximately $200,000—set to join the lineup next year. Together, these models aim to demonstrate the brand’s vision of combining next-generation high-performance drivetrains and chassis systems with advanced software and user-centered luxury.
“Faster, lighter, and more technologically advanced than its predecessor, Gyesera draws upon the revolutionary spirit of the Revero while creating an entirely new identity. It is the first page in a new chapter of Karma vehicles.”Marques McCammon, President and CEO of Karma Automotive
For a brand that helped pioneer the plug-in luxury hybrid space, the Gyesera represents more than a new model—it is a statement of intent, designed for those who demand performance without sacrificing refinement or individuality.
