June 9th, 2025 – Paris has no shortage of storied addresses, but few carry their history with the poise now on display at the newly reopened Hôtel de Sers. Tucked within the prestigious Triangle d’Or, just steps from Avenue Montaigne and the Champs-Élysées, the hotel has returned to the spotlight following a meticulous renovation that breathes new life into its aristocratic origins. Originally built as the private residence of the Marquis de Sers, the 19th-century Haussmannian structure has been transformed into a contemporary haven, designed to reflect the rhythm and refinement of Parisian living today.
Interior architect Pascal Allaman, working closely with owners Anne and Agathe Jousse, led the revitalization with a clear objective: preserve the property’s historic soul while introducing a softened, modern atmosphere. The result is a space that speaks quietly but confidently—where time-honored craftsmanship coexists with tailored comfort, and where light, material, and mood are carefully balanced throughout.
From the moment guests arrive, the hotel’s architectural legacy is apparent. The original carriage entrance, sweeping marble staircase, and salon de réception remain intact, anchoring the experience in a sense of place. A 22-meter gallery lined with portraits of the Marquis’ lineage sets the tone, guiding guests toward softly illuminated interiors dressed in stone, brass, and custom textiles. Géraldine Prieur’s graphic rugs add a refined contrast beneath the mineral palette, drawing the eye from the lobby into the restaurant and lounge.
The new design language is subtle but expressive. Restored herringbone parquet floors and wood paneling lend warmth to the spaces, while custom lighting invites stillness and contemplation. The 45 rooms and seven suites feel both personal and poised—decorated in creams, greys, and sandy neutrals, with exotic-print fabrics, fluted wall panels, and brushed brass fixtures offering a quiet nod to 1930s glamour.
Among the standout accommodations are three Signature Suites, each with its own distinct identity. The Eiffel Suite offers uninterrupted views of the Iron Lady herself, paired with bespoke furnishings and wood-ivory accents. The Panoramic Suite’s glass-roofed salon and wraparound sofa evoke modern Parisian loft living, while the Marquis’ Apartment feels like an expansive family pied-à-terre, complete with tapestries, gold detailing, and a generous terrace overlooking a garden courtyard.
Outdoor space is a defining feature of the reimagined hotel. Half of the rooms and suites now include private terraces, and many face the Eiffel Tower. The Suite Eiffel includes two terraces—one off the living area and another from the bathroom—offering a rare opportunity to enjoy open air serenity above the Paris skyline. The Marquis’ Apartment extends its residential charm outdoors, with a partially enclosed garden terrace framed by elegant furnishings and climbing greenery.
At the center of the hotel, the redesigned glass-canopied patio has emerged as a hidden urban retreat. Iron trellises, citrus trees, and teak furniture create a natural rhythm that breaks from the pace of the city. It’s a space that encourages pause—ideal for a quiet afternoon coffee or an aperitif at golden hour.
Complementing the serene public areas is a new partnership with French wellness brand Calma Paris. The hotel’s upgraded spa now includes a traditional hammam, sauna, massage room, and a modern fitness suite—further establishing Hôtel de Sers as not just a place to stay, but a place to recharge.
