The Makeup Show NYC Celebrates 18 Years of Beauty Experience

The Makeup Show NYC, one of the most highly anticipated beauty events of the year, took place on April 30th and May 1st at The Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. This year's event marked the 18th anniversary of the Beauty Experience, and it did not disappoint.

With over 70 top brands in the industry, more than 60 educational sessions on six beauty stages, and over 3,000 attendees from all over the world, The Makeup Show NYC was a weekend to remember. It was a hopeful reminder that we are slowly but surely coming back to normal life, and it's only going to get better from here.

The event offered an incredible array of artists and educators on the main stage, including some of the best in the industry, like Sandra Saenz, Laurel Charleston, EJ Jamele, Merrell Hollis, Joe Dulude, Suki Tsujimoto, Etzel Eccleston, Luis Casco, Maude Okrah, and James Vincent. These artists and teachers in the beauty industry shared their wisdom on technique, artistry, and business/marketing.

Over 70 of the best brands in the industry came together to showcase their latest products to buyers and attendees. Brands like Jones Road Beauty by Bobbi Brown, MYKITCO, Alcone Company, Omnia, Pat McGrath Labs, Danessa Myricks Beauty, LimeLife by Alcone, and Esum Cosmetics were just some of the many brands featured.

This year, the event also had the fourth annual Beauty Brunch, which welcomed over 200 VIP attendees. This was followed by a cocktail party where attendees and artists got to mingle in a more intimate setting and get excited about the weekend ahead.

One of the newest beauty experiences in NYC was Pitch Perfect. Multiple agencies were invited to a speed dating event where new talent in the industry interviewed with agencies in a speed dating style event. Agencies and brands that participated in this rare opportunity for artists included Omnia, Artists by Timothy Priano, See Management, CNBC, crowdMGMT, Cloutier Remix, CNN, IATSE Local 798, Danessa Myricks Beauty, and Bryan Bantry Agency.

The Makeup Show NYC also had its fourth year of the Danessa Myricks International Stage, featuring international artists from the USA, England, Ireland, Liberia, and Ukraine. They each created uniquely stunning looks while representing their native countries.

What's next for The Makeup Show? The event heads to Nashville for the Iartist 5.0 Mentorship program, focusing on the artistry concept of transcendence. Following Iartist, The Makeup Show Nashville debuts in one of the top music centers of the country on June 24th and 25th.

The Makeup Show NYC will return in one year on May 5th and 6th, and we can't wait to see what's in store for next year's event.
