A First for Kohler: Martha Stewart Appointed Cast Iron Ambassador

In a move that bridges heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibility, Kohler Co. has named Martha Stewart its first-ever Cast Iron Ambassador. The appointment marks a landmark collaboration between the global leader in kitchen and bath innovation and one of the most influential voices in lifestyle and design.

Announced on July 31, 2025, the partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to timeless quality and thoughtful living—values that have defined both Stewart’s storied career and Kohler’s legacy since 1883, when founder John Michael Kohler converted a cast iron horse trough into the company’s first enameled bath.

Celebrating Craftsmanship and Durability Through Design

At the heart of this partnership is Kohler’s enameled cast iron collection, which includes bathtubs, sinks, and shower bases across a range of styles—contemporary, transitional, and traditional. Each piece is made from at least 80% recycled materials, handcrafted in Kohler, Wisconsin, and designed to last a lifetime. With a Limited Lifetime Warranty, the collection underscores Kohler’s dedication to sustainability and artisan manufacturing.

Stewart, who has long championed enameled cast iron in her own home designs, brings her distinctive eye and editorial voice to the collaboration. Her involvement will include original content and event appearances through 2025 and 2026, offering audiences a deeper look at how cast iron pieces can elevate both daily rituals and interior aesthetics.

A Natural Partnership Rooted in Shared Values

“Martha Stewart personifies quality, design, and what it means to live a gracious lifestyle—making her the perfect partner to help us celebrate the extraordinary character of Kohler Cast Iron."
David Kohler, Chair and CEO of Kohler Co.

For Stewart, the collaboration is a natural extension of her longstanding admiration for the material. “I have been a proponent of enameled cast iron for decades, all throughout the home,” she said. “It’s such a pleasure to partner with the innovative minds at Kohler to bring awareness to the variety and depth of their enameled cast iron offerings.”

The campaign will center around cast iron’s versatility—not only in function but in form. From a freestanding tub in a minimalist master bath to a statement sink in a farmhouse kitchen, Kohler’s offerings blend purpose with beauty. Stewart’s insights and storytelling will help showcase the range of applications and the elegance of incorporating cast iron into everyday spaces.

Looking Ahead: Kohler Food & Wine 2025

As part of the new role, Stewart will headline the Kohler Food & Wine festival, taking place October 16–19, 2025 in Kohler, Wisconsin. The event will serve as a key platform to highlight the partnership, bringing together design enthusiasts, culinary leaders, and lifestyle tastemakers for a weekend celebrating craft and creativity in all its forms.

Through this unprecedented partnership, Kohler and Martha Stewart are not only honoring the past—they’re shaping the future of design. Together, they’re elevating enameled cast iron beyond its utilitarian roots, presenting it as a cornerstone of elegant, sustainable living for generations to come.
