A new tradition – Fairmont Washington, D.C.,  Georgetown is pleased to announce Modern Afternoon Tea offered during the month of December on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Ladies and gentlemen of all generations will enjoy this lovely new tradition with a modern twist.  Guests will be seated in the hotel's Loggia overlooking the ice skating rink in the hotel's festively decorated courtyard. Fairmont has partnered with Lot 35 Tea Company to offer a variety of herbal, black,  green and white teas including; Fairmont's Signature Winter Blend with cinnamon and glove,  Organic Egyptian Chamomile, Something Sweet with cacao bens, coffee, caramel and chocolate, Organic Gold Jasmine Dragon, and Organic Oregon Mint.

Executive Chef Jordi Gallardo and his culinary elves have created a savory and sweet menu to c. Fairmont's Modern Afternoon Tea fare is not served in the usual three tired silver tray, it's presented in a two-tiered wood and slate bento box.  There will be no watercress on white bread in sight. Instead, guests will enjoy curried chicken, mango, toasted almonds, cranberry brioche, asparagus & egg, Dijon aioli, sourdough, cranberry mascarpone mousse, gingerbread cake and Earl Grey macaroons.
