Author : Resident Staff

The hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau, a new landmark for L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts in Paris

Opening on October 6th 2023

Eighteenth-century mansion, registered as a historic monument, the Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau is one of the oldest private homes on Paris's Grands Boulevards and among only a handful still standing.

The interior design was entrusted to the designer, interior architect and scenographer Constance Guisset.

The site will include a large exhibition space, a great library and a one-of-a-kind bookshop entirely dedicated to the world of jewelry.

"STAGE JEWELS OF THE COMÉDIE-FRANÇAISE"
A grand inaugural exhibition
From October 6th 2023 to February 4th 2024
Given its location in the theater district, it seemed only natural that the first temporary exhibition held by L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts at its newest site would feature stage jewelry from the Comédie-Française. This unprecedented exhibition includes 120 accessories, pieces of art, and documents that are for the most part sourced from the theater's collections.

Curator of the exhibition : Agathe Sanjuan, director of the Comédie-Française's library-museum
