Aventura Mall, recently named the Best Mall in the United States by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2025, is stepping into a new kind of glamour this summer (four paws at a time). On Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the luxury shopping destination will host its inaugural Paws on the Runway Dog Fashion Show on the Lower Level near Bloomingdale’s.
In collaboration with Dog Mom Walk and the Humane Society of Greater Miami, the event will pair style with substance, spotlighting the bond between pet parents and their canine companions while supporting animal welfare. Attendees can expect couture-level creativity, from coordinated human-and-dog ensembles to statement collars that rival fine jewelry.

The runway will showcase five competition categories: Pawsh Pup for luxury looks, Dynamic Duo for matching outfits, Creative Collars for original accessory designs, Cutest Canine for heart-melting charm, and Best All Around. Judged by a panel of local tastemakers and special guest Matt Dillon, known for his animal activism, each category winner will receive a $200 Aventura Mall gift card along with curated prizes from select retailers.
Beyond the runway, guests can browse pet-focused vendors, enjoy gourmet treats for humans and pups alike, and meet adoptable dogs from the Humane Society of Greater Miami. The organization will also offer a “foster for a day” program, allowing attendees to walk a shelter dog in the show, a rare opportunity to connect with a future furry family member in a joyful, public setting.
All participating dogs must be leashed, friendly, and current on vaccinations, in line with the Aventura Mall Dog Code of Conduct.
With its blend of high fashion, community spirit, and philanthropic mission, Paws on the Runway brings a new kind of runway moment to Miami, one where the models wag their tails and the applause is measured in happy barks. It’s a fitting debut for an event that celebrates style in its most heartfelt form.
