Miami Beach is raising its glass to a sophisticated newcomer. Enter Kissaki, the latest cocktail and tapas destination nestled in the South of Fifth neighborhood. This nocturnal haven comes from the creative minds behind New York's Kissaki restaurant and the beverage alchemists at ROKC—named one of Thrillist’s ‘Best Bars in America.’ With its unique blend of artisanal cocktails, globally inspired bites, and a sultry ambiance, KISS is poised to redefine Miami’s nightlife landscape.
Located in the same space as Lilikoi Organic Living, a beloved daytime spot for health-conscious locals, the 2,000-square-foot venue seamlessly transitions at night into a plush lounge. Renovated to exude modern elegance, the interiors feature velvet chairs, vintage wallpaper, and polished wooden tables, creating an intimate atmosphere. As owner Gary Kanfer explains, "We’re excited to bring [Joji Watanabe’s] craft to the South of Fifth neighborhood as we felt the neighborhood needed an elevated cocktail bar… diners from Kissaki are also encouraged to visit KISS for an aperitif or nightcap.”
Guests are invited to sip their cocktails amidst the soft sounds of acoustic guitars and jazz while watching bartenders craft their drinks with flair, often featuring fire, smoke, and precision.
At the heart of KISS lies its innovative cocktail program, masterminded by ROKC co-founder Joji Watanabe. This marks Watanabe’s first foray into South Florida, and he’s bringing NYC-level cocktail culture to the Magic City. "Joji has redefined the cocktail culture in NYC and believes people truly drink with their eyes," says Kanfer.
