A personal favorite, Les Miz, says it holds the title for the world's longest running musical. Here again we have a situation where the third coming of this wonderful musical matches the original. The first revival never quite cut the mustard. Scenery was minimal and the staging was skimpy.
The current rendition fully matches the original production and is an absolute pleasure to see. That being said, get thee to a ticket booth and get a couple of seats as the show wraps on September 4 and there are no plans for a fourth revival at this point in time.
The cast is amazing. The fabulous Alfie Boe just wrapped up his return as Jean Val Jean, the conflicted hero. For the final shows John Owen-Jones will return to fill the r ole.
