Nestled within the iconic Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills hotel is a reclusive star whose fan base continues to grow and for whom time has seen a continual improvement. This is not an actor or actress but rather the restaurant Culina, Modern Italian which is celebrating this year its fifth anniversary.
A hotel with the reputation for attracting mega-watt superstars regularly at which is informally known as the headquarters for the Awards season, requires an equally captivating dining stablishment which Culina, Modern Italian delivers.
Under Executive chef Mette Williams, winner of the television competition Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell on Food Network, her team continually craft exquisite dishes focused on the culinary stage where classic and modern Italian cuisine meet.
Boasting LA's only crudo bar, Culina Modern Italian has garnered a series of well-deserved accolades from food and wine publications Zagat & Wine Enthusiast to its entertainment vibe courtesy of Equire & The Hollywood Reporter. The restaurant space has both an indoor as well as an outdoor space, the latter boasts dining in the midst of a mediterranean garden. The interior design emphasizes warmth, intimacy and chic lines of furnishing coupled with interesting materials which blend invisibly into the background though are always present.
Culina Modern Italian maintains service throughout the day with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menus. One of the recent additions to the menu, in keeping with the focus on fresh local ingredients is SQUEEZED – a menu of some 20 fruits and vegetables which can be turned into a juice drink to enjoy with, or as breakfast alone. For dinner try the signature Lombatina Capricciosa (or breaded veal chop).
This delicious entree is coated with ciabatta crumbs and lightly crisped, then finsihed with a simple salad of tomatoes, wild arugula, vinaigrette and Parmigiano Reggiano.
