The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida has introduced a new addition that signals a broader shift in its identity. The debut of The Verandah Social Club arrives as part of the property’s transition into Signia by Hilton, marking a refined approach to how guests experience the oceanfront.
Positioned above the shoreline, the adults-only concept offers a reimagined take on the traditional pool day. The space is open to both hotel guests and visitors aged 21 and over, creating a setting that blends accessibility with a more elevated, design-forward atmosphere.
Developed in collaboration with architecture firm LEO A DALY and Indidesign, The Verandah Social Club is shaped by a layout that encourages movement and variation.
Palm-lined views frame the ocean, while layered textures and curated seating areas create a series of distinct environments. Guests can move between the edge pool, shaded tide beds, private cabanas, and more intimate lounge spaces, allowing the experience to shift naturally as the day unfolds.
The design feels intentional without becoming overly structured. It leaves room for guests to define their own pace, whether that means settling into a cabana for the afternoon or drifting between spaces as the light changes.
Food and beverage play a central role in shaping the atmosphere. The Verandah Social Club introduces an all-day menu that leans into shareable plates, lighter fare, and cocktails designed to complement time spent outdoors.
Highlights include the Cabana Harvest, a colorful arrangement of seasonal fruits, raw and pickled vegetables, and a selection of dips ranging from citrus Greek yogurt to charred baba ghanoush. For a more indulgent finish, the Cocoboom offers coconut gelato served in a half shell, a detail that ties the presentation back to its coastal setting.
Behind the bar, cocktails reflect a similar approach. The You Odyssey This combines cucumber and mint vodka with lemon, rosemary, honeydew syrup, Mediterranean tonic, and an ouzo mist. The Berry Vibrant introduces a richer profile, blending 23-year-old rum with raspberry, lemon, and rhubarb bitters.
For those looking to expand beyond the standard menu, the club offers a series of curated packages designed for sharing.
The Shoreline for two centers on caviar service, featuring osetra or kaluga caviar accompanied by traditional elements such as blinis, crème fraiche, and chives. The Catch & Cure option focuses on seafood preparations, with selections that include tuna poke, lomi lomi salmon, and aguachile. The Gameday package shifts into a more familiar direction, offering wings, sliders, and fries.
Each option is structured to enhance the day without interrupting its flow, allowing guests to incorporate these experiences as they choose.
The Verandah Social Club also introduces a series of wellness offerings that bring spa-inspired treatments directly to the poolside setting.
Experiences include the Cooling Cryo Wand Facial, Ocean Breeze Neck and Shoulder Massage, and a Scalp and Hair Ritual using moringa and mint oils. These services are designed to integrate seamlessly into the day, offering moments of pause without requiring guests to leave their surroundings.
The opening of The Verandah Social Club represents more than a new amenity. It reflects the direction The Diplomat Beach Resort is moving toward as it transitions into the Signia by Hilton portfolio.
The focus is clear. Elevated design, curated programming, and a more intentional approach to leisure are shaping the guest experience. The Verandah Social Club acts as an early expression of that vision, offering a setting that balances relaxation with a sense of refinement.
Open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with access available through ResortPass as well as for hotel guests, the space invites both locals and travelers to experience this next phase firsthand.
In a region where poolside luxury is expected, The Verandah Social Club suggests a more considered approach. One that places equal emphasis on design, atmosphere, and how the day is spent.
