May 14th, 2025 – Miami Beach’s most iconic promenade is adding a fresh layer of cultural sophistication to its social calendar. On Thursday, May 15, the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID) will debut its first-ever Art Walk, a new monthly series designed to spotlight the artistic side of Lincoln Road. Timed in tandem with the City of Miami Beach’s Culture Crawl, this ongoing initiative transforms the open-air district into a walkable celebration of visual and performing arts—offering extended gallery hours, interactive installations, and curated experiences that invite deeper engagement.
Running every third Thursday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m., the Lincoln Road Art Walk reflects the area’s creative momentum, drawing attention to its diverse roster of galleries and public art displays. This isn’t just an event—it’s an evolving canvas that offers something new with every edition.
The inaugural evening kicks off with a reception at Lumas Art, where guests will be welcomed with complimentary wine and champagne, free miniature artworks, and exclusive pricing on collectible pieces. Known for its curated contemporary prints and photography, Lumas sets the tone for an experience that is equal parts refined and accessible.
Just steps away at Lincoln Center, the traveling exhibition Rooted in Culture—curated by Ketevan Paitchadze and currently featured at Harvard University—lands in Miami with a multisensory flourish. Highlighting the richness of contemporary Georgian art, the exhibit also includes a live performance by Sergo Tbileli, who will create more than 72 original works in real time over the course of the show’s Miami run. Titled Creation Unbound: The Art of Becoming, Tbileli’s performance blends visual creation with personal ritual, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the act of artistic transformation as it unfolds.
Beyond the galleries, the promenade itself becomes a curated outdoor exhibition.
Duck with Pride by Facundo Yebne – Crafted from over 20,000 rubber ducks, this playful yet poignant installation celebrates diversity, inclusion, and collective joy.
Dogman and Rabbitwoman by Gillie & Marc – A series of interactive bronze sculptures depicting animal-human hybrids—like a giraffe, a chimpanzee, and the title characters—these pieces encourage reflection on wildlife conservation and coexistence.
XO WORLD by Daniel Anderson – Towering at 12 feet high and 24 feet across, this monumental sculpture uses 20,000 pounds of stainless steel to convey a powerful message of peace, love, and global unity through the artist’s signature "XO" imagery.
