Levain Bakery, the beloved New York-based bakery known for its legendary cookies, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new location in Venice, California. To mark this exciting milestone, Levain Bakery will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the bakery's team on Friday, April 4, offering a warm welcome to the Venice community.
The celebration will kick off with a special treat for the first 100 customers in line, a custom Levain Bakery Venice tote bag filled with exclusive bakery swag, paying tribute to the unique spirit of the Venice neighborhood. As part of the opening festivities, Levain Bakery will be donating all proceeds from the Venice location’s opening day to St. Joseph Center.
In celebration of the Venice opening, Levain Bakery will offer an exclusive, limited-time Black & White Chocolate Chip cookie, available only at the Venice location for a limited time.. A nod to the classic NYC delicatessen treat, this decadent cookie is crafted with extra dark cocoa, semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chunks,
Designed by Brooklyn-based Sarah Carpenter & Studio, the Venice bakery boasts a sunny, welcoming atmosphere, with large windows that flood the space with natural light. The interior features a warm and cozy design, incorporating rich woods to reflect the comforting warmth of a freshly baked Levain cookie. The street-facing windows offer a behind-the-scenes view of the bakery’s ovens in action, allowing customers to watch the magic happen, while a mural by native Angeleno artist Janice Chang adorns one wall, showcasing the vibrant and whimsical essence of Venice, with playful hidden cookie moments throughout the piece.
Levain Bakery’s Venice location will feature the bakery’s iconic six signature cookie flavors, all baked fresh daily: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Two-Chip Chocolate Chip and Coconut Caramel Chocolate Chip. For those with dietary preferences, the Venice bakery will also offer a Vegan Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie. As a seasonal special, the bakery will offer a limited-time-only Lemon cookie, made with sweet and mellow lemon chips for a citrusy treat with just the right amount of sweetness.
In addition to cookies, Levain will serve a selection of pastries, including blueberry muffins, loaf cakes, bread and rolls, all baked fresh in-house. Weekend-only sticky buns will also be available for those seeking an extra indulgence and the bakery is partnering with local LA roastery
Venice will mark the bakery’s second LA-area Bakery and 17th location nationwide and will offer local pick-up and delivery from 7am to 10pm, as well as local catering.
